The museum is so big and contains so many exhibits it took us several hours to move around and we it wasn't enough to see all items. It's by far the most wonderful museum we visited in Istanbul. It contains all one can imagine of equipment and transport machines as well as models of Turkish houses over history. There's also a part of scientific experiments for children to use their heads and hands. You can also enjoy a train ride, a vessel or a submarine tour on weekends (that's Saturdays and Sundays), but there's an age limit for submarine tour ( 7 as I remember). the museums located on both sides of the main street, so don't miss any of part of it.

A great big museum with some interactive area. You can buy an extra ticket for a tour at a submarine. You can stay there for a while and if you have kids, all of you will enjoy the visit.
