Spoleto is an ancient city in the Italian province of Perugia in east central Umbria on a foothill of the Apennines. Kick off your visit on the 8th (Thu): take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral, steep yourself in history at The Tower's Bridge (Ponte delle Torri), get engrossed in the history at La Rocca, then get engrossed in the history at Casa Romana di Vespaia Polla, and finally ponder the design of Fontana del Mascherone.

You can drive from Florence to Spoleto in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus.
