Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Get some cultural insight at Colosseum and Pantheon. Take a break from the city and head to Catacombs of Saint Callixtus and Isola Tiberina.
