Near the borders of Belarus and Poland, Druskininkai serves as Lithuania's premiere spa town.

Jerusalem of Lithuania

The capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, boasts an impressive medieval quarter--one of the continent's largest and a World Heritage Site with almost 2,000 historical buildings.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Gediminas Castle Tower and Vilnius Old Town. Go for a jaunt from Vilnius to Trakai to see Trakai Island Castle Museum about 36 minutes away. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at KGB Museum (Genocido Auku Muziejus), go all around town with City Tours, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church Of St Peter And St Paul, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Anne's Church.

Drive from Druskininkai to Vilnius in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Druskininkai to Vilnius, you'll gain 1 hour due to the time zone difference. In July in Vilnius, expect temperatures between 26°C during the day and 15°C at night.
