More than 20 million people call Cairo their home and, as soon as you set foot in the sprawling metropolis, it's evident they make it crowded and chaotic, but also exuberant and charming.
Get a sense of the local culture at Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids and Mosque of Muhammad Ali. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Khan Al-Khalili and Townhouse Gallery. Venture out of the city with trips to Giza (Musee de la Barque Solaire, Pyramids of Giza, &more). Saint Catherine

Change things up with a short trip to Wadi Hammamat in Al Tur (about 2h 15 min away).
