Deggendorf is a town in Bavaria, capital of the Deggendorf district. It is located on the left bank approximately in the middle between the Danube cities of Regensburg and Passau. Let the collections at Walhalla and Glasbläserkunst Mauth capture your imagination. Your inner history buff will appreciate Burg zu Burghausen and Dom-Gymnasium. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Deggendorf: Baumwipfelpfad (in Neuschonau), Wacker Arena (in Burghausen) and Weihenstephan (in Freising). There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Roberto Beach, make a trip to Waldwipfelweg, indulge your thirst for a good beer at Kuchlbauer-Turm, and browse the range of quality goods at Modehaus Garhammer GmbH.

If you are flying in from Egypt, the closest major airports are Flughafen München-Riem and Nuremberg Airport. In April, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 3°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
