Eternal City

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Visit Colosseum and St. Peter's Basilica for their historical value. Let the collections at Vatican Museums and Musei Capitolini capture your imagination. There's much more to do: visit Trastevere, browse the exhibits of Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant'Angelo, contemplate the long history of Roman Forum, and get to know the fascinating history of Piazza Navona.

Plan my day in Rome using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

If you are flying in from Egypt, the closest major aiports are Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, Ciampino–G. B. Pastine International Airport and Perugia San Francesco d'Assisi – Umbria International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 16°C in February, and nighttime lows around 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Sun) to allow time to travel back home.
