Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Glendalough Cathedral and Trim Castle. Popular historic sites such as Kilmainham Gaol Museum and Dublin Castle are in your itinerary. Step out of Dublin with an excursion to Bru na Boinne in Donore--about 46 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the long history of Saint Patrick's Cathedral and take in the architecture and design of Trinity College Dublin.
