As the capital and largest city of Belarus, Minsk represents a cultural center full of churches, libraries, museums, and theatres.
Church of Saints Simon and Helena and Archcathedral Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary will appeal to history buffs. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Khatyn Memorial and Nesvizh Castle. Take a break from Minsk with a short trip to Corpus Christi Church in Nesvizh in Nesvizh, about 1h 30 min away. A sharp contrast to the capital of Minsk, Brest is a city filled with fortress ruins, old culture, and medieval history.
Belovezhskaya Pushcha / Bialowieza Forest and Brest Railway Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore Brest's surroundings by going to Kobryn (Military History Museum of Suvorov & Aquapark). Grodno Region, also known as Hrodna Region, is one of the few large areas in Belarus that was left unaffected by World War II.
