A physical and cultural bridge between Europe and Asia, the transcontinental city of Istanbul serves as a living reminder of the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman empires.
Get some cultural insight at Hagia Sophia and Sultan Ahmed Mosque. Take a break from the city and head to Halic and Bosphorus Tour Istanbul. Step out of Istanbul to go to Yalova and see Erikli Waterfall, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. When traveling from Istanbul in May, plan for somewhat warmer days and about the same nights in Antalya: temperatures range from 30°C by day to 18°C at night.
