Trabzon, historically known as Trebizond is a city on the Black Sea coast of northeastern Turkey and the capital of Trabzon Province. Popular historic sites such as Atatürk Köşkü and Tirebolu Kalesi are in your itinerary. Gulbahar Hatun Turbesi and Gulbahar Hatun Cami are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Trabzon side-trips: Karaca Cave (in Torul), Rize (Kackar Daglari Milli Parki & Hemsin Organik Vadisi) and Limni Golu Tabiat Parki (in Gumushane).
