Kick off your visit on the 17th (Mon): steep yourself in history at Colosseum, explore the world behind art at Vatican Museums, and then pause for some serene contemplation at St. Peter's Basilica. On the 18th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Clement Basilica, pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. Louis of the French, and then explore the world behind art at Borghese Gallery.

Often referred to as the gem of the Amalfi Coast, Positano remains one of southern Italy's most sought-after vacation locales, thanks to its hillside location and picturesque, pastel buildings.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Wed): kick back and relax at Fornillo, then don't miss a visit to Fiordo di Furore, then take in nature's colorful creations at Villa Cimbrone Gardens, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Sant'Andrea Apostolo. Keep things going the next day: kick back and relax at Spiaggia Grande, then kick back and relax at Bagni d'Arienzo, and then stop by Nana' Positano.

Drive from Rome to Positano in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. In July in Positano, expect temperatures between 89°F during the day and 72°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Fri) to allow enough time to ride a ferry to Capri.

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Doges' Palace and Gallerie dell'Accademia. Do some cultural sightseeing at Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Ponte dei Sospiri. Change things up with a short trip to La Cinta Muraria - Camminamento di Ronda in Cittadella (about 1h 15 min away). There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Canal Grande, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica dei Frari, admire the landmark architecture of Basilica di San Marco, and steep yourself in history at St Mark's Campanile.
