Jerusalem of Lithuania

The capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, boasts an impressive medieval quarter--one of the continent's largest and a World Heritage Site with almost 2,000 historical buildings.
Change things up with a short trip to Trakai Island Castle Museum in Trakai (about 36 minutes away). There's much more to do: get engrossed in the history at Gediminas Castle Tower, see the interesting displays at KGB Museum (Genocido Auku Muziejus), take in the awesome beauty at Hill of Three Crosses, and pause for some serene contemplation at St. Anne's Church.

Athens, Greece to Vilnius is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. When traveling from Athens in July, plan for slightly colder days and colder nights in Vilnius: temperatures range from 26°C by day to 15°C at night. On the 11th (Sun), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Tallinn.
