Maxcanú is a large town in the western part of the Mexican state of Yucatán; it also functions as the seat for the Maxcanú Municipality. Venture out of the city with trips to Cenote noh mozon (in Tecoh), Mangroves of Dzinitun (in Celestun) and Cenotes (in Cuzama). The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Celestun Wildlife Refuge, delve into the distant past at Izamal Ruins, explore the fascinating underground world of Grutas de Calcehtok, and contemplate the long history of Temples of Uxmal.

If you are flying in from United Arab Emirates, the closest major airport is Licenciado Manuel Crescencio Rejon Int Airport. In August, daytime highs in Maxcanu are 41°C, while nighttime lows are 27°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
