Along the Dalmation Coast, the city of Dubrovnik has become famous for its pedestrian-only Old Town surrounded by fortress walls, and its historical heft has earned it World Heritage Site status.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Old Town and Speed Boats Tours. Change things up with a short trip to Cavtat Old Town in Cavtat (about 34 minutes away). There's still lots to do: step off the mainland to explore Lokrum Island, look for gifts at Break Time, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Saint Blaise, and get engrossed in the history at War Photo Limited.

Prague, Czech Republic to Dubrovnik is an approximately 7-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Prague in July, things will get a bit warmer in Dubrovnik: highs are around 34°C and lows about 24°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can catch the ferry to Hvar.

Experience an authentic Adriatic lifestyle in Split, the largest city along the sea's coast.
Bring the kids along to Diocletian's Palace and Old Split. Change things up with these side-trips from Split: Krka National Park (in Skradin), Historic City of Trogir (in Trogir) and River Rafting & Tubing (in Omiš). Spend the 9th (Mon) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour.
