Forodhani Park, Stone Town

Situated between sea and city, Forodhani Park hosts a bubbling social and culinary hub frequented by locals and visitors alike. Established as a silver jubilee park in 1936 in honor of Sultan Khalifa, the gardens underwent renovation in 2010 to host three cafes overlooking the bay, numerous walkways, and scenic landscaping. Visit the gardens in the evening to experience its bustling food market, mingling the tastes and smells of Zanzibar, including delicacies of seafood, cassava, and sweet potato soups. Expect crowds at night; visit by day for a more relaxed atmosphere and views of the water and islands beyond. • The Waterfront and Forodhani Park are well frequented especially in the evenings, not only tourists but also locals sit on a bench and enjoy the evening and the sunset. In the park itself, a food market is set up every evening with many local Food and drinks, the prices are not exactly fair to a street market, many things do not look inviting either, so that everyone has to decide for themselves whether they dare to try something or not,
