On a vacation in Rabat, a World Heritage Site and Morocco's capital, you can discover the city's long and rich history while enjoying a laidback atmosphere, less touristy than in the booming Casablanca and Marrakech.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Wed): enjoy the sand and surf at Plage de Rabat and then steep yourself in history at Kasbah des Oudaias.

Cairo, Egypt to Rabat is an approximately 16-hour flight. The time zone changes from Eastern European Time to Western European Time, which is usually a -2 hour difference. Traveling from Cairo in March, things will get a bit cooler in Rabat: highs are around 22°C and lows about 9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 8th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Ifrane.

Ifrane is a city in the Middle Atlas region of Morocco . Start off your visit on the 9th (Thu): hit the slopes at Michlifen Ski Station and then head outdoors with Cedre Gouraud.

You can drive from Rabat to Ifrane in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and taxi. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Fes.

Morocco's former capital, Fes enchants visitors with its walled medina, a labyrinthine web of pedestrian-only streets and a World Heritage Site.
On the 10th (Fri), admire the masterpieces at Nejjarine Museum of Wood Arts and Crafts, explore and take pictures at Medina of Fez, and then examine the collection at Musee Riad Belghazi.

You can drive from Ifrane to Fes in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive. In March, plan for daily highs up to 22°C, and evening lows to 6°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Fri) so you can go by car to Chefchaouen.

Marrakech

You won't run out of things to do in Marrakech, a city where you can spend days exploring grandiose palaces and mosques, photogenic gardens, sacred tombs, and traditional mansions that evoke a bygone era.
Head to Jemaa el-Fnaa and Marrakech Soukfor some retail therapy. Get a sense of the local culture at Medina of Marrakech and Jardin Majorelle. There's much more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Ben Youssef Madrasa, relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Koutoubia Mosque and Minaret.

You can do a combination of taxi and flight from Chefchaouen to Marrakech in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Chefchaouen in March, you will find days in Marrakech are a bit warmer (27°C), and nights are about the same (11°C). Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) so you can go by car to Casablanca.
