  • A beautiful place in the city of Amman to spend time with friends and family and enjoy the beautiful view of the whole city of Amman. As a tourist from India where History of old civilizations are a part of every corner...visiting Amman Citadel was yet another experience of witnessing the site which holds the history of being inhabited by a varied number of civilizations continuously. Viewing the ruins of the Temple of Hercules was breathtaking. Though not much is left still the ruins were enough to take us back to our school days reading the stories of Hercules. The view of the Roman Theatre is one of the best views from this place. This place also has a nice cafeteria near the entrance for refreshments.
  • For a few JD, you get a wonderful glance into history and beautiful views of the city. (Also included in Jordan Pass.) Several stunning structures, lots of explanations on plaques (in English, too) and a very cool vibe overall. Definitely worth making the trek. Just be careful outside if you want a ride back down the hill; the taxis will *severely* overcharge tourists. It shouldn't cost more than a few JD.
