Missoni is one of the leading fashion houses and amongst the most recognized the world over. The Missoni style is the result of a long collaboration between Ottavio Missoni and his wife Rosita who in 1953 began making knitwear pieces in a small lab in the basement of their home in Gallarate. In 1997, Rosita passed her leadership role as creative director to her daughter Angela, dedicating herself to the Missoni Home line, for which she is currently the Creative Director.Luca Missoni, Rosita and Ottavio’s son, is the Artistic Director of the Missoni Archives. Margherita Maccapani Missoni, Angela’s daughter, is the creative director of M Missoni, the contemporary line.
