  • Few people know that in the alleys of Milan hides such a beautiful fountain. There are many similar fountains in Rome. But in Milan only got here

  • Between Brera and via Manzoni there is a real, little-known gem: the Fountain of Tritons, which is part of the building owned by Cariplo (formerly the Savings Bank of the LombardY Savels) and is adjacent to the well-known Convention Center of this bank. this fountain are different: in ancient times many believed that the jets of water gushing from the shell represented the "charity of the Savings Bank". milans paid taxes (since until the 1960s, the offices of the Civic Exchery were here). But for most Milanese it is nicknamed "the Dòna of trè teatt" (woman of three breasts) because of the statue representing the savings, which keeps close to the breast a round piggy bank. To a somewhat mischievous eye it can look like a woman who seems to have three breasts. The name "Fontana dei Tritons" has been attributed to him for the presence of two mighty newts, as the mainpillars of the shell. Also note the two smiling dolphins at the base of the fountain. After all, Milan also has hidden treasures. The Manneken Pis's phonatana in Brussels is universally known throughout the world, but in my opinion, the Triton fountain doesn't have much to envy.
