  • Little remains of this church, which dates back to long before 1192 when it was destroyed by the Emperor Barbarossa. Street-widening and town planning finished it off in the 19th and 20th centuries...  more »

  • These are the remains of the ancient Basilica of San Giovanni in Conca dating back to the ELEVENTH century. From 1879 to 1951 (year of its demolition) was the seat of the Evangelical Waldensian Church in Milan. To see

  • Semi-unknown place (to Milanese, myself included) of late-imperial Roman Milan (IV century A.C.) It is the crypt of a church with almost millennial vicissitudes, from the middle ages until its demolition in 1949/51 to make way for the new Missori square and albricci Street, leaving the remains of the apse and the crypt below that all Milanese born in the immediate post-war period they always saw. Very well represented, inside the crypt, its history with the help of panels and a video illustrating the history of the church and the history of the Milan capital of the Roman Empire of the West, in a panel is represented in a plan ("a flight of a bird" ) the Roman Milan of the 4th century with the walls of Massimiano, almost the only reference (in addition to the plastic of the archaeological museum) of Roman Milan!! My knowledge of this site is due to the fact that I am a volunteer of the T.C. I. of Apertipervoi, and that I am often on duty in St. John in Conca!!
