Uragh Stone Circle, Tuosist

The Uragh Stone Circle is a neolithic stone circle near Gleninchaquin Park, Tuosist, County Kerry, Ireland.
Situated near Lough Inchiquin, it consists of five megaliths. The largest stone is ten feet (3 m) high and the circle is eight feet (2.4 m) in diameter. There are two brilliant quartz stones at the south, as well as one off center within the ring.

  • There is a short drive off the main road along a one lane road to reach this stone circle. Google maps helped us to find it. A box is set up to collect an entrance fee that allows one to see the stone...  more »
  • Highly recommended place. We visited him in the evening sun and enjoyed a lot of time for two. From the stone circle you can see a large waterfall and the view through the valley is breathtaking.

  • Very cool to see this history. Beautiful
  • It's hike to get here and well worth it... you really can feel the spirits of the Celtic ancestors... and the views around tje area are quite lovely!
