Also known as the Oriental Bay, Gebel El Rosas attracts underwater enthusiasts with its reef and colorful marine creatures. Its sandy entrance, well-protected from strong winds, offers safe diving and snorkeling opportunities year-round. Sloping down 40 m (131 ft) deep underwater, the reef offers picturesque coral landscapes, sea-anemone gardens, and a series of caverns. If you prefer to stay on the shore, bring binoculars and try to spot dolphins. Note that the water can get quite murky during strong winds. A visit to Gebel El Rosas represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Marsa Alam road trip planning app to plot your vacation.
